Chiberta Golf Club
A few minutes walk away, the magnificent Chiberta golf course,”…undoubtedly one of the most beautiful Basque golf courses, it is a mixture of “links and in-land”, particularly varied. From the green of the 2nd, you will be at the seaside to finish in the middle of a splendid pine forest” The Chiberta golf course has since settled like a glacis between the ocean and the foliage of the Pignada forest.

Created in 1928, the Golf de Chantaco is the cradle of the Lacoste Family. The marriage of Simone Thion de la Chaume, golf champion, with tennis champion René Lacoste gave a very media coverage to this golf course which was frequented by many celebrities.
The Chantago golf course runs its fairways at the foot of the Rhune, the mythical summit of the Atlantic Pyrenees, opened in 1907, the Golf de la Nivelle is built on an old quarry. Located in the commune of Ciboure, it is a hilly course. Its environment offers the beauty of the sea, the view of the port of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and the plenitude of the mountain.

Golf of the Basque Country Spanish
The nearest, and best known, is the Real Golf Club of San Sebastian, in Fontarrabie. Built in 1910, it is located very close to the border, in the municipality of Fontarrabie, at the foot of the Jaizkibel. It is a magnificent course, covering 50 hectares, which has given Europe one of the greatest champions: José Maria Olazabal.
